Thank You for Supporting James River Writers!

Help Us Reach Our Summer Fundraising Goal of $3K by August 31!

It’s that time of year again! We hope you will join us as we work to reach our summer fundraising goal. If you’ve benefited from our programming and amazing community of supportive writers, we encourage you to contribute as your circumstances allow. Whether or not you are able to give monetarily, we are glad you’re here!

This year, we are offering something special for those in our writing community who have furry family members that often take on the role of our “Writing Assistants.” Whether that means they offer moral support, an occasional cuddle, or demand we take a well-earned break from it all, we wanted to acknowledge their contributions the writing process. JRW has enjoyed meeting a growing number of these furry friends via the Zoom platform over the past few years. Their presence offers much needed levity and a reminder of all that is good in the world!

When you make a minimum donation of $25 to our Summer Fundraiser, you have the option of claiming your gift of a special edition JRW bandana designed especially for our Writing Assistants. (See a mockup of the bandana below.) Of course, if you don’t have a furry friend, and you’d still like to make a donation, we welcome your support!

For those that take advantage of this special gift, we would love for you to share a photo of your pet on social media wearing the JRW bandana. Please tag us @jamesrvrwriters!
