Heide Trepanier lives and works in Richmond, Virginia.  She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a local artist, adjunct professor, and director of the Temple of The Cosmic Mothership, a “church” that worships art, creativity, mischief, and fun.

She has exhibited her work internationally with shows in New York, Madrid, and St. Petersburg, Russia. Heide is the recipient of many awards including a Joan Mitchell fellowship, a Krasner Pollock award, and several VMFA fellowships. Her latest work “Perverse Totems” a collection of photography and paintings was exhibited at Reynolds Gallery in Richmond in September.
